Founded in 1881 for men, then open to women since 1887, the US Open is one of the oldest tennis tournaments in the world. This popular international event takes place in the United States of America, specifically in the city park Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in New York. After Roland Garros, Wimbledon andAustralian Openthis is the last Grand Slam tournament of the season.
Organized by the US Tennis Association (National Tennis Federation of the United States), the competition takes place every year in late August – early September. And the 2023 edition starts on Monday 28 August and will finish two weeks later on Sunday 10 September 2023. Last year the tournament attracted 50% more spectators compared to 2021, which suggests a good crowd for this year, knowing that best to be present.
